iCarabinieri 2.9

"iCarabinieri" has been completely renewed and improved both in performance and in the accuracy of the data presented. Thanks to user feedback, new services have been enhanced and implemented.

"Where We Are" allows citizens to know the location of the nearest Carabinieri barracks from a point they indicated or from their geolocation, automatically detected by devices. An interactive map helps users find the shortest route through the native "Google Maps" application, which will guide them to their destination. Additionally, through an intuitive graphical interface, users can immediately contact the desired Command via phone or email.

The main features of "Where We Are" include:

• Location search via GPS, GSM/WiFi triangulation, or manually entered address
• Display of all search results on the Maps application
• Customization of the number of Commands for search
• Display of position on the map in standard or satellite format
• Route display on the map
• Email communication sending
• Possibility to make a phone call
• Detailed card of the Command, including opening hours and useful information

"Nearest Station" allows users to quickly find the nearest Carabinieri Station with a single gesture to reach or contact it promptly in case of need.

“News” keeps users informed about the activity carried out by departments in the territory and what is happening in the world of the Carabinieri;

“Competitions” provides constant updates on competition notices and test outcomes.

"Events" helps stay "connected" with the Institution, providing information on events and shows (band or Fanfare concerts, exhibitions, fairs, etc.) where the Carabinieri are present.

"Call 112" allows direct contact with the emergency number 112 from within the application.

For Android versions prior to 4.3, issues may be encountered with the "Where We Are" service.
